Hey anyone recommend a really good MPC500 teacher/school in los Angeles?

Non that I know of... You just gotta learn on your own. Practice, ask questions here, read your manuel and just analyze/ study music.

I can recommend an extraordinary MPC-Tutor, but he's British... 
Click that MPC 500 Tutorials link to the right. That may help. You can get an e-book full of step by step tutorials on how to operate your MPC 500 from one of the biggest MPC experts on the Planet. There's one disadvantage, though. You'll have to read it. But it doesn't hurt, believe me ))))

yeah I did. worth every penny (I've said that before on this very forum, but I will keep saying it, cause the book is great, in my opinion).

read it, go through it, touch the buttons and do experiments on what you read at the same time you are reading it. that will get you through the basics. no money spent. time well spent. self-knowledge gained.
