I cant save or load worth a damn!

everytime i think i'm saving something right in my 500 and i load it back,it doesnt sound right. all the little tweaks i made to my sounds are gone,my effect settings were gone too.it just kept the sequence and the sample tweaks were gone too.

am i saving my shit wrong?i tried to save my stuff in every way imaginable and i always get the same result.
what am i doing wrong.

can anyone of you guys tell me how to save a track properly? i usually make tracks that have music samples in them. explain to me how you guys do it? if you can.. thank a lot!

You need to save "SEQ AND SONG" and "PROG AND SAMPLES" in the same folder, then load entire folder to get it back as it was. Remember to save each sequence, the 500 can sometimes fukk the sequences up

Sounds strange... What exactly "little tweaks" do you mean? Could you describe how are you saving stuff?

Well, in addition to Eimer's recommendation:

Try to work out a system of naming your files and folders on your memory card. Sometimes (and I've been through that in the beginning, too) you just loose trace of what you saved and where. Then, it is recommended to have a folder for each project and save all project related data to this folder (samples, programs and sequences). This way it is unlikely that something gets lost and you can load everything by using Load Folder function.

There's also a good option for saving projects at once after you finished your session. That is: Save -> Entire Memory. It saves the entire contents of RAM on your memory card (always use a dedicated folder when you do that), which is like a snapshot of MPC's memory status at the moment of saving. After that you can easily revert to what you were doing previously by just loading a respective project in RAM.
