Recording only one pad - sequencing problem

Hello to all mpc users.
I've been exploring the mpc500 for a few hours now, and i cant find a solution to what might seem a simple problem. When i delete all sequences to start a new song the mpc seems to be recording only pad A1. If there is a kick sample on pad A1, when i record a drum seq over track 1, all i get is a bunch of kicks!
strange. the pgm is set up right, the seq i clean, nothing to interfere.
it doesent happen when I dont clean the default sequences and record the unused seq 5. i read the whole manual and couldn't find a clue. what am i missing?

OK, i got it.
Deleting all seq seems to delete also the note assigments of a loaded program.
I have to reset the notes assigments and everything is back to normal.... straszna lipa.
