just got mine last friday and the sound library card wont load and the thing freezes up and all knobs buttons unusable then i put the card in my pc reader and everything is fine on the cards end but wont work on the mpc =(

My guess is, your MPC gets scared and shits its pants every time you approach it (see avatar)

Does it boot up OK? If so, check your MPC's OS version in Other Mode. It should be 1.13. If it isn't, then hurry up and update it.

yes sir it is 1.13 and im thinkin its the card reader in the mpc...i took a look at the pins with a magnifi glass lol and the pins look ok i tried putting the card in my pc card reader and sure nuff everything is there all files are ok =( i think ima return it man this sucks i thought ide be learning a thing or 2 bout a dope ass slapping ass mpc500 but i guess not dont get me wrong though cuzz ive heard the type shit that comes out of these number one legendary machines and its some of the dopest shizzy i ever heard! thats why i like awww mannnnn lol well i talked to the dude i got it from at gelb music in redwood city , cali and he closes at 8:30 tomarrow and he said box the thing up and bring it on down tomarrow and he take care of me only thing is im not sure what to do ..get another or go with that roland sp555 but im not sure.
