pad samples to loop and mute in real time individual pads

heres the scenario

Pad a10 has a drum sample i made say. I want the sample to loop when I hit the pad (a10) and when i hit the pad (a10) again stop in its tracks and i want to be able to designate what specific pad will or will not do this. I know this has to be possible i'd think... I really enjoy playing live with recorded samples as opposed to programming midi notes for some reason
