i bought a teac 224 drive off ebay- 6.00 delivered-put it in the 5k, and it
works like a champ without any modification :)

question:
that screw underneath- in the actual akai drive, is there a hole in the bottom of the drive
for that screw to fit into-
or does the screw just screw up against the metal drive housing?

i'm asking, because this drive will fall out at a sharp angle while the mpc is in it's
quicklock brc stand.... so maybe the screw thing will work to hold it in anyway?

thanks!

On the akai cdm25, there's a little bracket on the back for the screw to go in. I also bought a teac drive off ebay and had the same problems of it falling out when on a stand so I ended up paying for the stupid cdm25 basically for that little bracket. I should have just had someone machine for me but I am lazy so...
