i have the mpc 5000 connected to my soundcard via adat.that mean 8 channels

is it possible to use now the 8 analog audio outs of the mpc 5000 to send another 8 different channels? and how does it work ? well with adat i just choose the channel in the mixer menu(from 1 to 8) how can you route the analog outs now?
i would like to record 16 trax @ once that must be possible...

8 analog outs and and adat channels are hard-mirrored, no, u get 8, that's it.

I'm thinking this because all the other mpc's are the same way.
Digital outs mirror the analog outs.

On your menu in the mixer there's no channel 9 to route to is there, ok.

not that you asked, but i think the reason they have the option to do 8 analogue outs or 8 adat digital outs is because they give you the choice of what A/D D/A converter you want to use.

i recomend using the best one in your setup, and that means, once a sound goes digital, keep it digital until you're ready to make it analogue, and when that time comes, send it through to best D/A you have.

just some thoughts. ; )
