hey guys, i want to know if its possible to route some channels (f.e. individual drum channels like snare etc.) through an external effect unit and record it on the mpc

Yes you can certainly do this, that is what the record in is for. The best way to do this would be through an audio patch bay, (if you have lots of gear) as it provides more flexibility.

You can also resample the internal effects from the mpc with two 1/4" cables going from say outputs 3 and 4 to the record in, this way you can free an fx slot, and use that for something else. Using this method you don't even need a mixer.

Well with the internal effects you can simply go into REC SAMPLE mode and set the source to MAIN OUT......no need for any cables :)

would be great if i could send the individual channels from one track (f.e. drumbeat with every hit on his own channel) to a fx unit with different amounts (like on analog mixers aux channels).


btw: i have my mpc5k since 1 yr. and it is never ever crashed/freezed. even with over 5 effects turned on...
it really .ucks with these crybabys on this forum!
