Hi Everyone and "bravo" for that forum!

1 In the "Filter Envelope" (Program Mode), I can't set the amount of the envelope as a negative value!

2 I also noticed that the field "V>Att" (actualy "V>Time on the PDF manual!) and "V>Amount" should both accept negative values but the same problem occurs.

Does somebody have a clue or I just missed somethin'?

Thank you.

I am using the OS 2.0

Hi!
The manual is wrong. It quotes the VA synth program parameters, instead of those available in sample programs.
On filter envelope page v>att modulates attack time, and v>amount mudulates envelope depth.
Yet one more thing that Akai missed. Those parameters are mentioned in OS 1.0 manual as well. Don't remember if they were there. I moved to OS 2.0 as soon as I bought my MPC5k.

Hi Jocks and thank you for your anwser.

You probaly had a bit more mercy than the other here. How did u know about this actualy? Does this info is written somewhere else in that forum? I try to find this by myself on the net before but I should have tried harder apparently..

Also you said that you update the OS right after u bought the machine and so did I but the problem is still the same and the new OS 2 pdf manuel is still sayin' the same concerning this "fake" paremeter...Therefore if I red you well, it means that you can't set the amount value as negative and must use another trick in case you need to do so (for a sample)?

Yep...a lot of issues with that machine indeed.

See ya Man and thx again for ur awnser!

You're welcome Hyperballad!
I checked it out myself after reading your post. I only open the manual when I find things I don't grasp
I love my MPC5k, but I'd like to see more client support and bug fixes from Akai :(
