Does everybody have this under OS 2.0 or is it just me? When sampling (haven't tried recording) through the RCA ins (also haven't tried what it does using the XLR-type connectors) I get a much more silent left input, effectively rendering the machine useless for sampling from my vast CD collection.

Of course I can sample them elsewhere and import the wavs but a) this is a workaround that interrupts creative flow and b) the reason I wanted an MPC - instead of using my complete home studio - was to just have ONE machine to do it all for me, and that I could bring along to a friend.

Different leads yes. As far as "making the left input 20db higher", that's a bit of a dumb solution. Of course it's possible. I could use an extra fx-processor or mixing desk and split the two tracks and then record that output, but that's a serious workflow killer and silly workaround. Like I said in the original post, of course I can sample them elsewhere and import those wavs, but what I want to is just use this one unit. That's the reason I bought: a nice self-contained environment for sampling and sequencing beats. Adding extra gear defeats the purpose for me personally.

Or where you talking of a way to make the left input higher inside the MPC 5k?
