Not to be a doosh.. An I hate when people say this, but it's all in the manual and generally it's a pretty simple process.. Anything in particular your having trouble with? I mean: I take a sample, I slice it, I put it in a program, I freak a few sequences, add any synths etc. I want, then create a song, put song on HD, record on HD. And done- and it's all in the manual, you can do it no problem trust me.

nah u weren't a doosh. you were a douche. LOL..

Seriously, I asked my question wrong.

On the MV i could mix down 2 EXTERNAL HARDWARE pieces without the need of a mixer.

does the HD recorder on the 5k allow you to do the same thing or do you have to sample the tracks first and bounce down that way?

You can bounce to a pair of outputs, to a track, to a file etc.
It allows you to determine what is included in the bounce.
You select to include:
-Sequencer tracks
-Recorded audio
-Effects
-Mixer automation
-Input thru

In any combination you require as well as selecting to save it as a 16 or 24 bit file.
