Ntalec, what do you mean when saying that the ADAT of the 5000 "has locked settings" and you have to 'lower the quality'. I already tracked out three times 5-6 tracks simultaneously through the ADAT (just to learn some things) and there were perfectly recorded in my Samplitude at 44100khz. My RME is set to 44100khz. And I'm so happy and somewhat ... proud because I've never had a projects so quick and perfectly tracked out and SYNCED . It's a huge luxury for me to have my projects perfectly synced without countless plays and stops trying to make them sync. Although the same old latency is still here and the recorded project is not in sync with the entire Samplitude tempo which is not a problem for me, it only adds some discomfort when I have to record additional material from my synths in Samplitude because I always have to rearrange the recorded material and move it a lil bit forward.

Yes Lampdog, i got it ! And you guys, especially Lampdog helped me a lot. Thank you ! At least for now I don't have any issues. I still have the issue with the latency between the MPC and the PC but if I buy that sync-lock machine this problem will be gone too. These syncing machines are probably some alien made stuff - very valuable things !

Yeah, try going lower one by one while trying to track out each time and see if it helps.

If it starts crackling or sounding funny then it's too low.

It won't hurt any of your gear to try other buffer settings, it's designed to be adjusted.

Mine is 96.

I would never run PT at 44.1 or 16 bit since I also track vocals.
Due to this the ADAT on the 5k is unuseable to me. :(

They should have done a better job implementing the ADAT since it was a standard feature.
Was excited about it when I first got the 5k but didn't take long to pass on trying to use it.
