MPC 5000 main function not working...

I have the PADS section on my MPC 5000 out of order...
May I control the MAIN Function with a external midi control?

sounds like you pad sensors may have gone bad...as far as controlling main function with external midi control. not sure if this is possible on the 5k

Didn't work for me with a controller.
I think it needs to send a Midi CC signal (Control Change)
