AKAI MPC 5000 Reading AKAI MPC 2000xl Programs,seq and songs

I am trying to get my MPC 5000 to read AKAI MPC 2000xl files on Zip. I tried to get them to my computer to no avail on my Mac and on My quad core PC. No luck Yet.

I try to understand where your problem is....you can't get the files from the MPC2000XL to your computer....or you can't get the files from your computer to your MPC5000...?

Both I tried to load my zip disk to my pc with a USB zip drive and windows does no recognize it .It will say please Format disk. Also The MPC 5000 will not recognize MPC 2kXL sound/wav files named with more than 8 characters. The ones I loaded from a CF card only show question marks.
