I have a 5000 that I've had a lot of trouble with over the years. I had a problem with it crashing and not starting. I took it in and had the pad sensors replaced after a couple of pads started to fail (about a year ago). It's startied crashing again when I play the pads (though there are no failing pads). I'm tired of pouring money into it and would like to get a 2500 since from what I've it seems more stabile especially with the JJOS. Anyone have a recommendation of a fair price to ask if I put it up on eBay? Thanks.

Unfortunately, even in good shape these machines aren't really holding their value. In LA they hardly sell for $800 on Craigslist. For parts alone it is probably worth at least $400-$500. At least that's what I'd offer for something like this, as long as everything else works okay (no lines in the display, no broken buttons, no outright power issues, etc.)
