Extra ram slot

Anyone ever figure out / confirm what this slot was intended for? Beside the obvious of course.

Irrelevant for the most part I suppose, since the 5k is discontinued. Just curious if anyone ever confirmed.

yeah, and that odd connector in the ram compartment of the 500... it looks almost like an eb16 connector or some shit like that.
