Hi everybody, sorry for bad english > <
I have search but i can't find a problem like this..
I just buy an used Mpc 5000... But already have a problem. At start, when loading his stuff, i hear like a 'stack' from the hard disk. The screen reset and begin to loading again.
I notice that mpc doing this when i turn on after a time of not working.
Same problem when i go to Disk, then Usb then Mount. After i bit the mpc reset. Always in random way, not everytime, but a few time in a row.

O.S. updated to 2.0.
Everyone with same problem? I think maybe Hard disk is the prob. I already formated but nothing change.

Thanks for replace :D

But once it starts it's solid, no crash in a couple of days. I turn off autoload, tomorrow i'm gonna see if there is the same problem.

I haven't already payed, 900euro. Was in a studio about 2 years always on...
Suggestion guys?
Maybe really the HArd disk? I made scan disk in usb/mount mode and no problem.

The person who sell me this Mpc tell me he doesn't turn off ( never > < ) the mpc for 2 year.

Can be this the reason of the problem?

Hi there,

I think it could be a hard drive issue, try installing a new drive and test it.

I have a 5K too, no problems at all, it should load up quick if you've upgraded the memory to 192MB
If you hear the HD making a lot of noise on start up then it could be a HD issue.

Remove the internal drive and load a project from a CF card and see if the MPC acts in the same way.

Good luck.
