For instance if I make a beat I have to save seq and all samples. Then when loading, I have to load each prog and sample and put the sample on the correct pad to play the beat. Sorry if this is a newb question, but I AM a MPC newb as I have always used MIDI controllers, DR-5 and reason. Thanks a ton!

Also, is thier anyway to save a seq or song in wav format?? and transfer by usb to cpu to have on cpu hd.

The basic features of the MPC 5000 is based upon the MPC 2500. The MPC 2500 forum is a good place to find solutions for the basics.

The best way to save is to SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY and store it in its own folder. To load your projects, you can load the entire folder (this is what I do) or you can load the project file within that folder.

If you want to turn a song or sequence into a wav file, you can go into the sample record menu and re-sample the MPCs outputs as your sequence or song plays. This is the simplest way to do this. Another way would be to use the 8 track hard disk recording to mix down your sequences/songs.
