I had a really great R&B singer over to my studio and she found a beat she LOVED that I did with the 5000. Well....I have a M-Audio Delta 44 Sound card with 4 quarter inch INS and 4 OUTS. Well I hooked this up to my MPC and went to HD record mode to play and record through Reason so I could record her to the beat on Reason. Well I could never get Reason to read the MPC. I hooked it in Outs 1/2 and selected that on HD rec and nothing came through. I've read the manual but have not specifically found out what I was doing wrong. Thank so much for any of you that take the time to help me out. I really want to get this woman recorded, she's amazing.

Thanks again!!!

Nate

P.S. Also, is there another way I could save the file on my cpu as a wav????

You dont have any type of DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Cakewalk, Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Audition, etc.... If so, there is always more then one way to skin a cat in an emergency like that

But i havent tested that out in particularly as of yet

i don t really understand what you r trying to do but if i understand well you want to record something in reason from your MPC.

You can t as Reason doesn t support audio recording.

So you ll need another DAW like Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live....

But....why not record the singer direclty in your MPC using the HD recording mode ?

Put your sequences in SONG mode. Mixdown as a file (page 69-70). USB the stereo .wav file to your computer. Import into Reason. Record singer. Become famous.

HD RECORD let's record 8 audio tracks TO the MPC via the RECORD IN.
