i may be retarded, ...but i've tried messing around with it. ...and i also searched the forums and read the manual, ...but i think i simply cannot seem to understand the "continuous sample tracks".

...how do you use these, and how are they supposed to work?

-sorry if my ignorance offends anyone.

so if you played a very 'long' cymbal sound, ....but you stopped playback before the cymbal sound was complete, ....when you pressed play again, ...because you had previously recorded a MIDI event triggering the cymbal sound a half second before, ...you would then hear the remaining part of the cymbal sound.

okay. .....when or how do people use this to benefit them?

because when i am done 'composing' a complete piece, ...i do not have a 'problem' with not being able to hear the entirety of my piece because i have to press the stop button one or more times.

...in fact, ...i try to create a sequence so that in the beginning, i can press the play without ever pressing the stop button and it will come out sounding as i always wished it would. ....does that mean that i never ever need to use the continuous sample feature?

-sorry if this comes off hard, i just have no other way of being able to explain my understanding.
