Your turntable doesn't look like it's in the most user-friendly position, unless you like reaching over the tone arm that is.

M-Audio ProjectMix I/O

monogee wrote:BxJaze, now dat's a real photo of da MPC. How is it?
So far I love it. For right now, I don't plan on using it anywhere near as in-depth as the next guy, as I mostly do hip-hop and r&b, so I'm not sweating the "bugs" ppl talk about. The pads are thick as hell, and super sensitive. I love the display, the overall feel, and the sound.

Hope I met ur standard
I've got a few more things on the way: a more "sophisticated" MIDI keyboard, 2 22" replacement monitors, and some odds 'n ends. I'm from New York, and I've recently moved to Atlanta. Since I have nothing out here, i've just decided to put this lil workstation together rather than bring all my stuff from up north down here. Things sound great, i love the ProjectMix, and its slowly coming together. Should have everything by the end of the week. I've been software-based since 99, so this is also a learning experience for me. not the first MPC i've used, but the first i've ever owned!

Lol actually as you can see, i've moved it. Not that i had a problem before, because you know how the MPC's record function works...it was never that big of a deal. I had just connected my ProjectMix and threw the turntable (Technics SP-1210) there. Wasn't really paying attention to the positioning cause I hadn't really used it much at the time.

Haven't really got a chance to dive in yet....only used it for a few minutes. so far the pads feel REAL smooth (like silk, lol) and responsive. The keys feel semi-weighted....they're thick and nice, they dont feel "cheap" at all. Controls my Reason stuff well, but before I can really go in, i'm sittin here trying to figure how to sync my axiom, mpc5k and projectmix. That's the brainteaser for me today
