On most of my synths, most of the synth parameters are able to be controlled via CC. I would be surprised if this want the case w/the 5k's synth.

So, you can figure out what CC# you need to use to control the parameter you want and then record the CC info onto a track.

You may be able to set a Q-link to any CC.. Set it to the right one, then record this info. Then make sure the info (track) is set to the internal synth..

(Sending MIDI CC's with a Q_link manual page 182)

Hmmmm.... a bit of research leads me to believe that most synth params are NOT controlable via CC's.. so you might be sh*t outta luck..

anyone else?

NONE of the synth parameters can be controlled by CC
MPC does not 'understand' CC's, you can make a knob/slider 'send out' CC for other synths etc, but MPC does not interprete incoming CC's
So MPC is good at controlling midi attached gear, but can not be controlled in any way.
sad but true

Maybe I'm not understanding this... but my 5k does record CC data from a controller...

My setup is nothing fancy...I have the 5k's MIDI IN connected to my controller's MIDI OUT. The controller is an old Roland XP-80 that I hadn't even turned on in years and just plugged it in with no configuration on either end. BAM! The controller's keys play the sounds with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch as expected...and the slider movements did affect the sound. But lo and behold, when I looked at the track (in a Step Edit) I realized it had actually saved all my slider movements along with the notes. FWIW, I have OS2.0.

controller keys = Midi note information, which is not CC
Slider information is CC, but is probably Pitchbend information which MPC can receive.

What we are trying to achieve is : configure MPC in such a way that , when you turn a knob on your controller, (for example the) cutoff of the synth is changed.

Right...keys pass note on/off info to the MPC's sequencer (as well as velocity and aftertouch data). I understand this is not CC data. However, the MPC does record the movements of the 4 primary sliders (cutoff, resonance, attack, decay), the 2 secondary sliders (both user-definable), and the pitch/modulation lever. All this stuff is CC information.

I dug around in the OS of my controller (Roland XP-80) and find that I had it set (or rather, it was defaulted to) output controller data to both "INT+MIDI" -- internally + MIDI out. The pedal settings are the same.

Are you positive you have your controller set to send this data?

you can record the CC data, but you can not 'map' these CC's it to any function of the Synth of the MPC5000, that's the problem.

Hello to all.
I too have asked envi question
and I finally found the time a parameter is changed.
the part of the filter with 74 cc.
By sending dc to Ableton Live Synth Akay of the filter opens and closes the f
requency.
I hope it can help someone.
