you can set each clip independently in legato mode or not. then you also can choose a local launch quantization for each clip.
if the quant is set small like 1/8 or less you can do very interesting on the fly rearrangements.
on jjos2xl is not the same, you dont have that much level of control, but still it is a terrific feature, especially when performing live.

From what I see when you choose the next sequence while one is playing it gets played next in line after the playing sequence is finished. you just use the jog wheel to select the sequence you want to play next. that is if you dont know how to use the song mode on the 5000 which is much simpler to use to organize your sequences. Hopes that answers your question.
