Anyone already mentioned more sophisticated sample editing like Insert/Merge/Replace? Sometimes I want to repeat an event in a moment of silence or exchange only one part of the signal with another. I'd say it's quite complicated to chop, play 3 of 4 in a row and add something else instead of #4.

We can mark regions (Reverse), we can cut out or extract parts (sounds like cut or copy action) but we can't insert again (with the choice to Add or Replace.

If I repeat another one's request, I vote for it...twice.

Tomazzzi's list is perfect!!! Please Akai, listen to your users! This MPC could really take off if you do it right.

There could be a text file view dialog. Sometimes I can't find the right synthesizer bank just by digging my notes flying 'round my studio. It would be great to write a few lines to every program.

And after loading a program it's name is gone. When I save it again for the first time (Save Entire Memory) it's name stays in memory. Saving it again shows it's name already selected in the save dialog. (I'd say this is more a new feature and not a bug)

Aswell as my previous post:

Qlink 1-4 controls ADSR on filter/amp envelope pages - your not auditioning your q link settings your trying to set the envelope.

- (negative) settings for Vel/Att Vel/Freq what if you want the sample to start quicker with velocity or a high pass filter to 'open' out with velocity?

When copying a pad the pad bank buttons change the 'source' pad even when your on the 'destination' field making it difficult to copy the right pad just by pressing the pads (you have to scroll it in). pad bank buttons shouldn't change the selection, only pressing the pad itself.

Copying tracks in the main page should copy the midi channel aswell - don't understand why it doesn't do this....

GRID EDIT
Having midi tracks only shown by octave starting with C is a real bind. You should be able to scroll the screen note by note, not just octaves, to center the screen on the notes you want.

Having to scroll right to the beginning of a seq to change the octave is a pain - how about having f5 (not currently used) toggle between the octave select and the current position in the track?

At the moment its easier to edit midi tracks in 'step edit' mode than it is in grid edit which defeats the object of having the grid edit in the first place!

When highlighting an area of the seq with the shift button, pressing the window button should show all events in the highlighted area, not just the current location.

In the Program Menu/Amp section there is window to the right of the ADSR settings. This window displays the graphic representation of the ADSR parameters. I would like to see the actual waveform of a sample in this window. This will allow users to clearly see how changing the ADSR settings effect a sample. This feature can be added throughout the Program Menu.

Battery 3 has this function:

I would like a feature which enabled the user to change tempo gradually in real time, this might be done with the tap tempo feature or a Qlink knob. Even if it was possible to enter tempo events in realtime and edit them in step edit mode, that would save a lot of inserting events for an accelerando and rallentando.

i miss a way to edit sequenzes in song mode, because when i record my vocals i like to add/delete some pads while listen to the recorded track.

I would like to have a " delete part " when chopping

Let s say i chop my sample to 16 parts, then i use the qlinks to resize my slices

Once done i finally only need 15 of them

I would love a way to add or delete slices !!!!!!!

SEQUENCE EDIT MODE:

I request a feature to select ALL TRACKS as a editing range in SEQ EDIT MODE. So if I have a 4 bar loop composed of 4 tracks, I can select ALL TRACKS to copy and easily create an 8 bar loop.

To do this currently, you have to copy each track individually.

I want to be more specifc of what I want.

In SEQ EDIT MODE under the EVENTS TAB, I would like to be able to select ALL TRACKS in the TO TK and FROM TK fields. This will allow users to choose which events they want copied and apply this to one or all tracks.

You can currently copy all bars in SEQ EDIT MODE under the BARS TAB but you cannot select specific events to copy.
