I am gonna cop a 5000. In a few years, it will be just like the 3000 and the SP-1200. All of its faults will be forgiven and it will be considering classic.

There is one good thing, though: With the SP-12XX prices going wild, the MPC 3000 prices are coming down!

Apparently, you can be on HEROIN while using this "machine"... That dude most certainly is.
SECONDLY...
That looks like frootyloops with a padkontrol to me... you aint fooling nobody....
Just because it has a transport section and a midi channel that can set your cursor to edit wavforms... does not make it compairable to an mpc
When are people going to get that the MPC isn't for DIGITAL SAMPLES!!!!
IDIOTS> GAAWWWD>!!!
HERES THE DEAL>>>>> all you jokers must realize that the whole point of having a drum MACHINE (not mashuinewww) is so you can grab a chunk of vinyl... chop that beooch up, filter it... flip another sample, layer that with a bass, copy a few sequences, and NOT HAVE TO TURN ON A GODDDEDDAMMM COMPUTER!!)
ITs SO cliche how all the 12 year old kids want to run 300GB sample libraries, and be able to drag and drop PREEQ"D PRE"PERFECTED PRE"NORMALIZED samples, and organize them (badly) into some computer program they bought for 600 bucks for their MOMS DELL!
Get over it. Whoever said the thing about if you can freak one, you can freak em all... right on...
Give one of these whiney beoches 12 seconds and a zip disk, and they will loose their minds... BTW... you are not a producer... you are a song arranger, and I will submit that line of reasoning forever.
BLANDSHFVBNBLASBLAAA... this or that error or glitch... WE need a new OS... blahfodvnbioeancv..cv.blah.
HOW ABOUT
THIS...
YOU Work for 3 hours on a beat...
Save it to 5 floppy's....
And you go to load it the next time...
And its gone...
!?!?!?!!?!!YO... Happens all the time homies... is that a problem to the real heads that know?
nope.
Machine is bunk.
so is your soul, apparently.

+1 and the only MPC Killer right now are "wanna be" producers who have MPC's and no creativity, work ethic or determination. You gotta put work in. Period! That means Digging, Listening, Experimenting, and making some "not so hot" tracks. Then you keep grinding until you start producing heat!!!

Everyone and there mom gets called a producer now a days.
A real producer hardly needs a mic, stick and the world around them to make people move...

****, I used to hate that... I switched to zip after the last time that happened to me simply because the chance of loss was less.

I don't take stock in what gear a producer uses. It's the end product that counts. No one cares what machine was used or how the process was completed. All these Maschine bashing threads don't amount to anything. Whatever tool allows for the best individual production is the one that should be used. Fighting over machines and processes is like fighting over clothes, we all have preferences.

True... it's the tool that gets the job done that is important...
But... in Conservative forums you probably wouldn't expect to see a warm reception of a handful of gay/lesbian rights supporters popping in to say how much they dislike right wing politics and that they feel their beliefs are superior to other's.
At the end of the day it's all opinions anyways, and no one opinion is the right one... last I checked nobody is forcing anybody else to have a strong belief one way or another on the Maschine, but there are already forums devoted to talking about Maschine on the NI forums... I could be wrong but I doubt that there are that many MPC forum users who'd care enough to go onto the NI forums and proclaim that the MPC is the new juice but a lot of of Maschine users come here because they want their faux MPC sound.
So... for MPC users... they already have what they want more or less, but the influx of outsiders is from people who are looking to replicate 'that sound'. I don't care what anybody says, you can put as many SP1200 or MPC 60 emulation modes into software, it isn't going to be the same. Sure for 95% of the people it may be what they want (or don't even give two hoots about either way), but it does leave a bad taste in your mouth when you get those few who come here saying how white is now black, the sky is down and the ground is up and all the other nonsense. It's one thing to hear it from somebody who's been there and done that, but there are far more people coming here to talk about Maschine to just start something. The real talk can easily get lost in the nonsense.
But enough ranting from me...
I need to drop some beats on my MPC!
Peace out playas!

but I do have to laugh at these kids who never knew life before USB. Always wanting to know how to get their multi GB sound kit into the mpc... "why cant this file and that file load in the mpc?"... "what file types can the mpc take, why doesn't it take 32bit wav or 64kbit mp3?"
it's a **** sampler!!! use the sample feature!!! that is what the machine does!!!! it converts it for you!!!
fools should have got an ASQ or something like that instead... might have saved them 500 bucks.

it's because people are too lazy. They think that they don't have the time to find their own breaks or samples. Kids/"new producers" now want a million .wav files at their fingertips. Want to bang out a new cookie cutter sounding track in 10 min.
I'm just starting out making my own beats and I know it will takes YEARS of digging and making average beats before I could consider myself to be a real beat maker.
