out of all the places in the world.........

Living life Japan I, Askia, and alot of others can agree is cool place to be. Latest technology Roland, Yamaha, Korg, Akai, Denon, and the list goes on and on Japanese made gear. Tons of record shops it is a vinyl buyers paradise of used vinyl, cool ass shops, freaky clubs, various ways of life. The music scene is cool too hip hop, dance, house, techno you name it. It is unique as it is in the East and Americans are well received. For a musician, dj, or performer urban Japan is on par with NYC, London, Paris, LA, and other parts of the world as far as music, lifestyle and hip hop.

As for the rest that is kind of off topic back to the 5k.

For all 5k users and potential 5k users (including me I still plan to trade my 3k in the future off a newbie in the future) the O.S 2 is a great upgrade and it has wonderful
features for all users. Also put alot of time and effort into it enjoy and if I can get a hands on demo of it I will update everyone. Peace

Commerical break.....
My job moved me back to Japan last Summer. In total, I have lived in Northern and mainland Japan for about 14 years. I love this country. I don't miss home that much with the exception of the Super Bowl...my Steelers are going to win another championship!

Returning to the program already in progress.....

Namm OS 2 video:
http://www.sonicstate.com/news/2009/01/ ... c5000-os2/

This video shows you all along what I have been saying for the past 8 months. Akai/Numark/Alesis is listening to its customers (and even those that are not its customers). Of course it won't have everything. However, the MPC 5000 OS 2.0 provides many of the features requested in this forum.

yeah I was talking about that nerdy Akai sales rep who always looked nervous and shaky when he gave demonstrations. his name was similar to mike Acosta. lol...

I never said there would be Roland news at NAMM. I dunno how ppl jumped the gun on that one. But there will be a new MV. In march or in June (budget permits)...

Well i just spoke to an akai guy in the uk regarding a machine faut, and he was sure that the os2 had already been released, which is obviously not the case, and he said that it should be out very soon!
