Hi,

Imagine I use Ableton Libve or my Yamaha RS7000 to sequence my MPC.

I then create a MIDI file .

I would like to import this in my MPC, but it does not seem to be possible ! I don't get it ...

On the other hand, I could just play my ableton/RS7000 and record the midi data in MPC, but it seems the first notes are not recorded by the MPC, so I always need to edit them.

any suggestions ?

Insert a blank bar before you actual midi recording so that the midi'd gear can have a chance to lock on before it actually starts to record. Later on in your daw you can delete that blank bar...

The sequences in the 5000 are midi files. Note the .mid extension. Just copy them from your computer to the 5000 hd and open them up. Not sure why you'd want to waste time recording midi data in real time. I do usually have a empty first bar for program changes, pan and volume. Make sure they're type 1 midi files.
