MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

Hi there,

now that I came across some wide pads with long release phases I recognized, that when I let the MPC change sequences (Next Seq, Song Mode) it cuts off those release phases before switching to a different sequence. Song Mode even cuts off sounds of same sequence. You'll hear this effect only if you use external Midi equipment (playing such long pads). Is there any option I missed to turn off that feature? (It seems like switching from one sequence to another causes an All Notes Off event to be passed to external equipment - wasn't there a similar question already, fell like having a deja vu?)

What setting is this or where can I find such a setting? I tried to outline the difference between looping (or switching to next sequence) a sequence in Main Mode, Song Mode and Next Seq.

Ooh, found it while reading the manual. I'll try different settings and see if it works (manual says something 'bout truncate and recording. I already recorded the notes and just play them through sequences.)

I tried it with different settings of Truncate... with no effect, still cuts it off. So I decided to re-record the track with different settings of Truncate..., guess what...no effect, too. As soon as my new midi interface arrives I'll record track and give detailed information 'bout the MIDI events being sent. I also try a few other synths with similar pad sounds. (There were a bunch of different causes - I already excluded monophone voice settings, hanging voices causing a cut off of earlier played notes and there ain't no MIDI CC-events, too.)
