If there were plans to give the 5000 more than 192 MB of memory...they would have probably offered this from the start...just my best guess.

People work different... nobody works the same.... I always need more memory... If I could, id load up every single sample in my library, but i know that isnt possible, and it would maybe take all day. Thats just how i would prefer to work. But this topic has been talked about over and over around here, if you wanna debate it, knock yourself out by checking out plenty of older post about itAskia Shaheed wrote:

Not necessarily, they are adding a few new features, so if that was the case, why didnt they load us up in the beginning with everything that could be done.... but i got an idea of what you mean, especially with it being harware related

Now let's keep it real. You're going to pay out the a$$ for that little bit of Akai brand memory too alright.

I just got finished eating a $60 steak you can cut with a fork.(no it doesn't have anything to do with this topic).
Anyway..after spending thousands on an MPC, I am not concerned with a few hundred for memory. Memory that I really don't need and has never asked for. 128 MB is fine...192 MB is superb. ( what else did you expect me to say as a fanboy)
