how many of you use a DAW with your 5000, and if so, which one?

Cubase Ai was dope because all the parameters of the motif was controlled from within. I could even tweak the presets from within cubase and the motif editor.

Hey Diegoeskryptic,
I saw that you used Cubase Ai4 and a Motif XS with your MPC5K. I also have the Motif XS (61 key) and I never really got into Cubase AI4, do you think its worth it for the controls inside for the XS? Here is my problem, I use Ableton Live and I love it! I also have Logic Studio, which I plan on learning more as time allows, I intend on using Logic for the instruments and for heavily involved mix's.
I guess what I am asking is, is there anything that I am really missing out on by not learning Cubase AI4? Thought maybe you could shed some light in the unknown for me, because the last thing I have time for is to learn another Computer based DAW!
Thanks A Ton!
Casey

The only software program I know inside and out is FL studio which I used as a multi-tracker, effects unit and VST host.
I started using cubase only because it came with the motif and I wanted to give it a shot.
Cubase is easy on the surface. But there are a ton of features underneath that require some quality time, like any thing else. I haven't touched cubase 5, so I can't speak on that
We use logic 8 in the studio. They really made Logic 8 more user friendly compared to logic 7 which was a mad house. For an all-around DAW... I say learn logic... 6-7 years from now, IT WILL BE INDUSTRY STANDARD.
