G6 fantom trouble with mpc

Good morning gentleman I spent all last night trying to hook up my 5k to my g6 it says I can use the audio jacks and just press record on my mpc and it will record the sound .... Did not work so then I tried midi and I can play my mpc sound on my bored
But not my board on my mpc ... I read the manul the only thing I can think of is I'm only workin with one monitor a rokit 8 ... Any suggestions on any of these two problems ?

If you have OS 1.20 in your Fantom G...Roland has changed what was once a simple process into something more complicated.

If you have your MPC and fantom G connected correctly via MIDI then simply put the Fantom in Studio Mode. Studio Mode's Internal Page will allow you to assign 16 intruments/patches you want to use in a song. Once you have these set, you have to go to Studio Mode's External Page. Set your active MPC track to a MIDI channel 1 and select the Channel 1 Fantom Gs External Page. You should now be able to record MIDI into your MPC which should play the instrument/patch assigned to Channel 1/Internal Page.

Hopefully, you can follow this..if not... I can give more details later.

Thank you I wi try when I get off work ... I have never updated my g6. So I does that still work for me?.... And. How would I go about. Being able to control the sounds of the keyboard by using the keyboard? Would I have to sample It in or could I just press record on the mpc and go to the board n play... Thanks Alot for my dumb questions LOL
