dear all,

I've just done a library containing the audio recordings of all the ROM synth patches... each preset is recorded on a separate, normalized 44100 16 bit audio file. each snippet is named as the synth patch it comes from. the structure of the folders is identical to that in ROM - VA SYNTH PATCHES. total library size is 202 mb.

... now I can easily preview the wav files of the various patches and then load just the synth patch I need! :D

if you want I can upload the library for you all. moderators kindly advise how to upload this on mpc-forums.

cheers,
cat3

yeah... this is the reason why I asked to moderators if there is any chance to upload on mpc-forums the library I've done... but I had no answer... maybe someone of you with a rapidshare account can upload the library among his files... if you have a rapidshare account the files can be downloaded unlimited times...

just let me know!

I'm pretty sure they don't host any files on this site... Maybe try YouSendIt.com, their free account allows A LOT of downloads, but for a limited time like a week or so. I use it a lot for work.

we PROBABLY won't need it SOON.... I'm the first hoping OS2 will be released soon... and that synth patch preview will be implemented... in my experience I have contacted akai ant they NEVER answered... if this is their timelines.... ???

however the complete work of recording etc took ma about 3 hours... god bless batch process... :D

A lot of work goes into developing and testing an OS. The best thing Akai can do is to do everything they can to make sure that the OS is stable.

While JJ has done a great job of releasing OS updates and quickly providing bug fixes...I have mixed feelings if this is the sort of thing Akai should do. Being a beta tester by nature, I wouldn't mind if Akai does the same. But for professionals that just want the machine to work as advertised, this may not be a good look.

I absolutely agree with you... I personally prefer to have the new OS2 released later but stable... you know, when you are working on a track... and the machine freezes... AND YOU LOSE EVERYTHING!!!! I've paid nearly 2000 EUR for a machine that's unstable!? are you kidding me?

akai should do like many other manufacturer do... release a STABLE os and a BETA os... so anyone is free to choose whether to have installed...

ps: any chance to have a jjos also for the 5000?
