fx engine failed to load

hi,
I chased around mpc5k topics to find my boot problem.
Tomazzzo mentioned this, but I didn't find a confirmed solution.
here's the thing:
on power up I sometimes get
"effects engine failed to load! failed reset handshake 1#"
I press "OK"
next message says"(FXEng) not operational."
there's no sound as I hit my pads, FX settings all show "error".
that includes the master FX as well.
I reboot and the problem is gone
I just bought my MPC5K saturday 28 february, and this error has been popping up 4 times already!
it had OS 1.01 installed on delivery, showing this error message on first boot up.
With OS 2.0 installed, it's still appears...
Is it a hardware or a software issue?
Please help me out here!

Maybe its an issue when you first get the 5000, I havent seen that message in almost a year... i forgot all about that one, or just thought that it might have been a bug

Once you installed OS 2.0, turn it off. Hold down the erase key as you turn it back on to initialize the unit and see if this solves your problem.

got similar problem with my 5k,overnight there were problems with this 3 FX:
- Delay Sync
- Delay Analog Sync
- Delay Tape Sync
with this message: "error 0x7000000 " or " (FXEng) Not operational "
