Questions From A Perspective Buyer, Help Appreciated

Hi all, I am currently looking at the MPC5000 to add a hardware sampler to my setup.

I currently have an E-MU 0404 PCI Sound Card (http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?product=10447&nav=technicalSpecifications) ,. Will the MPC5000 be able to connect to the " Two 1/4" Analog Inputs and Outputs" on my sound card?

I also have an Axiom 61 that i use with Reason, and I am wondering how I can use the MPC 5000 in unison with Reason and the Axiom? What are the possible combinations that I will be able to do?

My main goal is to primarily use the MPC 5000 exclusively as a sampler, but how would this interact with Reason if I am using that for my drums? Would I have to try and play the samples in the MPC5000 and also click around in Reason to mess around with the drums or is there an easier way to accomplish this?

Any help would be appreciated, I want to make sure I have all the necessary equipment to be able to do what I have wrote above. Thanks!

But you will be ignoring the fact that within the MPC 5000 you have one of the finest Hardware sequencers in my opinion to date.
I would have thought you would do it the other way around and track/sample to the MPC.

Yeah you can pretty much do what you have in mind and a hell of a lot more.

You could send a a midi in from your Keyboard to MPC for synth and piano stuff and if supported USB to PC/DAW for
Reason, etc..

If you want to use the power of MPC Seqencer on Reason then you send a midi out to DAW/PC also if supported..

Audio wise MPC takes a Variety of connections Balanced and unbalanced SPDIF in out and Adat/lightpipe out.

I have a similar set-up but my end method is different...

Also USB to from the MPC to PC make file transfer a Breeze, some times I process files directly in audio programs into the MPC.....

Your mind is the Limit...
