My receiver went out and I am now wondering if I can record the vst keys I play in Pro Tools such as kore 2 onto my MPC using only the m-box pro 2. Is this possible or am I sounding like a complete dumbass. I'm just trying every option. I don't have the money to replace my receiver and I'm hoping I can still use the vst plug ins with my MPC. I know I can record into pro tools with the mpc but not record into the mpc from pro tools. I'm sure it's either something simple, or it can't be done. Thanks for listening.

I don't see the problem to be honest...MPC can 'record' from whatever input you feed to it...if your Mbox has an audio 'out' plug that in the MPC and that's it

or bounce down your VST to WAV in ProTools then Import the wav's as samples in MPC (or import them as Hard Disk Track or whatever you want

or are you talking about recording MIDI notes ?

explain yourself more (I fail to see what a broken receiver has to do with all this...)

Man I'm sorry. Yall aren't the only ones that don't get what I'm saying.
Let me try again...

Ok, Say I I'm in pro-tools and find a dope sound(vst) I like and want to record midi notes onto my MPC from Logic. So when I'm done playing I can hit play on my MPC and the notes I played through the vst on logic will be heard and recorded on my MPC. I wish I could just show yall, I suck at explaining things. If you don't understand no worries. Thanks for the replies.

Why don't you save your song in PT as a midi file, copy to the mpc, then just open on the mpc? Take you 30 seconds instead of messin with midi cables and recording in real time.

I work exactly like you want it to (being it with Ableton but that does not matter at all)
you just need MIDI out from MPC into MIDI from Protools (your mbox)
Take the Midi into Protools and route it to a VST
On your MPC just record midi notes (but make sure you actually route the track to one of the MIDI out's of your MPC)
