Just starting to use my 5k, im coming from a 4k. I cant figure out how to change the program in my keyboards once I make the track a midi track and set it to the channel I want .... like 1a then I want to scroll through the programs 1- 127 in each bank on the wheel?

Was really siple on the 4k So far I went to program selected window then window again and it says " midi program cange" but nothing happens in my keyboards when i change it?

Thanks a Lot

1. goto main screen Program field. Change it to No. 1 (it doesnt matter what number you use)

2. Hit window, youre now in the Program change menu.

3. Transmit Program Changes in this track : ON
Bank select : ON

4. The MSB and LSB are in your keyboards manual. Theres a chance the manufacturer doesnt use MSB LSB. Contact there tech support and find out what values they use.

5. Go back to the main screen and change Type: midi
Change the Midi channel to the one you will be using.

Oh yeah, you also have to go to mode-midi/sync. Hit mode than pad 8 midi/sync. Refer to the manual as to what you want to do. Active track receive channel: multi. Soft thru: as track. Midi Program Change: program.

These are my settings SOMETIMES. It depends on how you work. Good Luck.

thanks, but its stil not working

when you say go into window on the program page, all I get is
program name- and under that- midi program change

program change is off the only other option i have is 1-128 but there is no on for that field.
its strange I can hit the pads and it trigger the notes in the keyboards but nothing when I change the value in midi program change?

maybe im making this more complicated than what it should be.....
All I want to do once I select the midi channel a1 is to start scrolling through the sounds in that bank with the wheel, I dont need to change banks or anything.

It was really simple on the 4k you just select the output and then every time you move the wheel in the program field the program in the korg or roland changes.

I found the page with the msb and lsb and turned everything on but still no luck???

1. Set the MIDI channel you want to transmit on in Main Mode.

2. Select Program field. Change it to No. 1 and leave it selected.

3. Hit window, you're now in the Program Change menu.

4. Set "Transmit Program Changes in this track" to ON <-- important!

5. Go back to Main mode. Scrolling through the numbers in the Program field will now send out Program Change messages on your selected MIDI channel.
