MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai
I have an AKG perception 400 going into the xlr combo record in on the back... i set the switch to MIC INPUT, but i can't get a dang thing outta the mic. what am i doing wrong? Please help! Thanks.

...that mic needs phantom power....
the mic inputs of the mpc does'nt have that....
so you need a little pre amp inbetween....starts with 70 bucks....
or you try a dynamic mic...starts with 100 bucks
