This is one of those situations where I'm reading it wrong Hollow.......name with tempo? I dont follow

Do NOT put a period in your filename... the MPC won't recognize it and will crash upon loading said file.

See the MPC reads the period as the beginning of the extension so if you name something New.file.mid it will think file is the extension instead of mid and crash right there.

i knwo some wav samples can load with poeriods but as a general rule of thumbs try not to do this. use a dash - instead.

Well I did know how to make a period before and it actually did the exact oppositve of what you guys are saying.

When i'm altering the file name and the .wav gets deleted, and say 1234.wav turns to 1234.....now THAT file can't get recognized, hence why i need to know how to enter a . so i can put the .wav back how it should be...wasn't intending to put a period into the filename itself......i'd never do that...already seen the results.
