Hi,I am a noob here

everytime I start up my mpc 3500 i saw this error message "unrecverable system error format error---PC = 0X200103E2"
even after reinstalling the os it's still the same....does any body know this issue?

please, regardless of reality, please keep calling it 3500.

okay, about your question, are you trying to install 2.0? if not then you should try that instead, if so, then you should try to re-install the original OS, or a different 1.0 updated OS like 1.03 from the akaipro.com website first.

hi, I'm guessing it's a second hand unit with no warranty left?
Did your mpc5k work before OS upgrade? if so, then there might be something wrong with the firmware.

as Oneday2one said: try downloading a fresh one/unpack/ install firmware again.

also, avoid having several firmware versions at the root of your CF-card when you install OS from it, if I remember it right.

akai factory hdisk was causing me boot errors from time to time, until I replaced it with a better one. you haven't had problems like that before OS upgrade?
best of luck!

hi there,
hmm...was not the mpc3500 a pre release version of mpc5000 for betatesters?
the hardware might differ from production version.
there are others here on the forum that have been using mpc3500 if I'm not misstaken.
perhaps you could get some info or other OS from them?
