need some help

yo i just bought this sample pack from http://ibeatthat.blogspot.com/2008/07/m ... e-kit.html and now im not sure if its compatible with the mpc 5000 cause when in try to load it, it says its loading but it stays still. a friend told me that it can sometimes take around 8 hours for a file to load into the mpc do u think thats the cause or is it just not compatible?

It shouldn't take 8 hours for the any model mpc to a sample. Unless the sample is corrupt. The mpc is slow loading very large sample. If it's drum kits, it's quicker. Make sure your samples are wav files. If you load wav files you won't go wrong.
