Alright so I have been going quarter inch out of the stereo outs to the quarter inch ins on my mbox. I always get this extra noise and hissing. Was just reading the manual and I saw that it suggested using TRS quarter inches and I have been using TS. All I have is TS cause I just had my guitar cables and thats what I got. Was wondering before I go buy the new TRS cables if this is my problem probably? Thanks.

Alright cool, I figured it would be faster to go to Guitar Center and buy the cables rather than wait around for an answer. They work real good! Still a little bit of hum when the volumes cranked on the m box but when its at like %80 its gone. Even the hum I get is still like %90 less than with the TS.

Hi Mark,
there are many sources in your setup, that could cause the noise. If your Mbox has balanced inputs, then try balanced cables.
faulty audio cables in a setup is very common.
Laptop power supplys are known to create 50-60 Hz humming noise on computer audio outputs.
Try out different power outlets in your room for different equipment.
Most european power cables can be turned 180 degrees to avoid power grid noise leaking into audio gear.
I remember one time when there was a ticking noise in our studio, everytime the guitarist was to record his solo. It turned out to be his own watch causing it!
best of luck!
