MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

The subject pretty much says it all. I am a keyboard player about to start doing a live ambient/electronica show and I am going to be using an MPC5000 for it. I'd like to have everything in a case (DJ mixer, Korg EMX1 and, of course, the MPC).

I find it frustrating that the spec sheets on most DJ Coffins simply say 'fits a turntable' and they assume that you know what the standard size of a turntable is. I need dimensions, damnit!

Thank you

I should have specified that I am in the US. I can only imagine what shipping one of those would cost, let alone getting murdered by the exchange rate.

And also, I wasnt looking for a case for just the MPC5000 - I was looking to find a DJ Coffin that I could put a mixer and other gear into. Researching further since I posted, I found out that the 5000 will *not* fit in a standard DJ Coffin because its larger than standard turntable size.

I found a company that does custom work, and I am probably going to go that route.

Yoh Guys

Can Highly recommend thomann.de.
Excellent service and delivery time 1 wk and a half to The Hague.
I got my 5k from them with Monitors.
Check it, thats alot of dough floating in Cyberspace.
They came through strong.
My only complaint was I never got a flipping power cable with my 5k.
Other than that my stuff is working fine.
Need to get me one of those cases in 2010.

Brothers and Sisters Peace!
