hi, everyone i just got a MPC 5000 version 1 from daddy's junk music. and, i would like to ask those of you who have got one new what do you get include with the MPC?

i ask becaause i though you get a CF card with 32MB full with samples, is this trust cause i did no get one?

i am also a little freak out because on power up this thing gave me to different errors?

i mainly got this MPC for sequencing external gears and to sample. i am coming from a computer sequencer and, i want to stay away from the computer.

what do you guys think of this machine? should i keep it? or is this a good machine?

and, i will like to get this clear those the MPC5000 come with a CF card include or not?.

thanks everyone for your help, and happy new year.

It comes with an internal hard drive that has samples from loopmasters. It does not come with a CF card like the old MPC's. Although it has a CF card reader.

The 5000 is really buggy right now. I use it for sampling and two control other gear. It does some odd things, check the bug section on the forum.

I think its got a lot of potential when they fix the problems... but I miss my 2000XL. I was thinking about grabbing one of ebay until they sort the 5000 out. Or maybe a 1000 with the JJOS. Everyone seems to feel that is very stable.

If you can return it, I would return it. Unfortunately I'm stuck with mine. Anyone want to trade their MPC for my mint condition 5000? LOL. I would take a 60, why not.

It should not boot up with errors. What are the errors?

A 5000 would eat the 1000 for breakfast.

I hear it also melts faces.

DUDE... keep your MPC5000
i've yet to have all of the problems
that everyone talks about in here...
i've had mine since it first came out...
now, i may not use mine like everyone else uses theirs..
im pretty much just sequencing external gear and VSTs.
every one and a while i load up and or sample one shots.
battery 3 is my main drum sampler and i use kontact as
my full blown sampler... and i then track out to sonar 8.5
