oh yes, the MPC also has this price tag and is a 'Professional' Musice Centre....software not being updated for almost 1 year just means 'we don't care'

I really appreciate Peter writing that article on development and transparency in the music technology industry. It really informed me as a consumer about what I should demand and expect of a company. I hope Akai is listening too but my spider senses are not tingling at the moment. The Beat Thang is looking pretty promising as a substitute if it holds up to the promise. Check out the article on CDM.
