okay so i got my 5000 and i love it. i'm not much of a synth guy i've been digging up and cutting records for ever tho, started playing with the on board synth for backing tracks and its everything i need it to be. recently got a vsynth at the pawn shop(favor for a friend) - no manual, but in my possession so i want to use it, but i'm wondering if its even practical to combine a v synth with the 5000 since mpc already has a full va synth? the v synth sounds hella beasty tho! ive set the midi so mpc can trigger sounds in vsynth, then i route audio from mpc to track recorder on 2 channels and also from vsynth outs into track recorder on seperate 2 channels, so im taking up 4 inputs on track recorder. i'd really love to know if it would be possible to keep mpc as master - trigger sounds in v synth and instead of sounds going to track recorder, can they be routed back to mpc so that i can hear them in sequence mode and so v synth sounds play back out thru mpc outs instead of seperate lines to the track recorder? i'd like my chain to go like this: mpc[master]-->trigger sound in v synth--> v synth "sends" sounds back to mpc--> mpc plays all sounds(including loaded programs and external synth tracks) out thru main out. also as it is right now- i record midi data that plays back thru v synth, but when im done on 1 track , if i switch to a new sound, the track i already recorded switches too and its killen me! if anyone could please help me with this it'd make my decade.. not that you care but please!haha
