HELP!!!!

I tried to restore the default settings following the instructions on the manual but then when i turn it on a message says:
ERROR
Effects engine failed to load!
failed reset handshake #2

i press Ok and then another massage says

ERROR
(FXEng) Not Operational.

I press OK and then the pads, programs or samples don't make any sound!


please help. i just bought this machine and i don't know what to do. has anyone had this before?

I believe it might help to clear your hard drive first, then restore it to the defalt settings and see if sounds work after you load them back in.
