Sup Folks,

been messing with the 5k for a bit now, and im experiencing something I have never had on any previous mp (2kxl, 1k, 3k)

I have my motif XS hooked up via midi in and out and use a secondary in/out into my midi interface that is running with Logic.

I record simple drum patterns using the 5k program/sampler. I add tracks for midi set to 1A, 2A, 3A etc to play the motif which I play from the keyboard and record as midi in the 5k.

I'm using the adat to software monitoring sending different drums and outputs to different channels in Logic.
After working on the track a little every time I hit PLAY/START on the 5k the volume fader on the active Logic channel jumps up to +6db which is the highest setting.

Pulling it down manually and letting the sequence run on the 5k keeps it the volume it should be.
However if i stop the sequence and press PLAY/START again, the volume will shoot back to 6+.

I tried switching to an other channel, but it seems to always be the active one.
I also tried muting the midi tracks to make sure there was no volume fader data recorded.

Could this be some kind of midi feedback of a signal the 5k sends?
Its giving me nightmares.

2 other questions:

1. I'm experiencing ALOT of hanging midi notes when i try to record midi into the 5k without the mac/logic connected. I always have to "panic note off" on the motif. This happens probably every 40 seconds on some sounds.
Never ever had this problem with the 3000. Does this occur to anybody else? Perhaps I missed something in the midi settings/setup?

2. Is it me or is the 5k constantly having hiccups?
