loading mpc 1000 projects on my 5000 problem

Why is it that the projects from my old mpc 1000 sound noticeably worse when I load them on my 5000? How can I resolve this problem.

I sold my MPC5000 because I was unable to solve the same problem that you have.

On the MPC 1000 were you using the stock Akai OS or JJOS?

In my case I was using (and I'm still using it) the official Akai OS on the MPC1000.

Weird, only seen that with JJOS myself... was going to suggest going back to Akai OS and see if it was better, but guess that theory is out :/.

Sounds like it isn't much luck from djsoundscan either. Not a good sign.

I think that they can solve this with an OS update but there are so many things that AKAI must solve!!
You are in the in the beginning of the path to the discover the many bugs that the MPC5000 has.
For example, another thing that you will discover is that the machine losts events and notes when you save a sequence.
Yes, you work for hours and when you have the music as you want then you do Save Entire Memory.
You turn off the MPC5000 and next day, when you reload your work, simply it is different.
A couple of notes dissapeared here, another sounds shorter,...
