its good for us to challenge the system and discuss everything and destroy and rip apart the bad things, ... but are some occasions, ... we have to come back and take our 5000 our on another little date.

everything my be going to computer, ... the 5000 may not be perfect, ... there may be no other update and no newer bigger mpc, .... but let us reminisce on a video that we all should have already seen at least once already:

The 5000 is a good MPC. The 4000 is still the top of the line/flagship MPC IMO..... But it could be overkill for some..... Including myself. The 5000 is perfect for someone who is just starting out and wants something they can grow into. Akai should have stuck with the 3500 name. Then people (especially the 4000 users) wouldn't hate on it so much.
That's just my .02

I agree that the 5000 is a good machine despite what rep it has. Love my 5000 and it's not my first MPC. I have to disagree though that it is a good machine for a newbie. I would not suggest it to someone just starting out. it's deep. a newbie probably would be confused by such a massive machine with so many features and with the rep it has a newbie would be ready to trash it at the first sign of unwitting user error. Still its a dope box. I aint getting rid of mine. Thats my **** for better or for worse... mind you im not one that has experienced the 5000's dark side.
