Again, I'm reading through the manual (and not selectively). I've been tinkering with the thing for days and days, and am figuring stuff out.
However, the one thing I can't seem to figure out is how to delete the Demo programs this thing comes with, and the programs in the memory bank. I can delete them, but it isn't permanent at all... I turn the machine off, and the next time I turn it on, everything is there again. I've deleted stuff directly out of DISK mode, like some samples I USB'd in to learn about chopshopping and trimming and stuff... and that stuff is gone. I have also saved a basic sequence on my CF card and that's still there.
I am sure nobody wants to tell me exactly what it is to do, but if you could suggest what part of the manual that might be under? Because I can't seem to find it in the (shitty) index, and the only stuff I've read about deleting is what I've already done... I'll be kinda grumpy if I will have those three demo sequences on there for the rest of the time I have the damn thing. I hate having a preset list of programs... I'd rather just load stuff as needed from the HD... it seems problematic because the sequence memory is pretty small, and the WAVE memory isn't fully open.
Thanks guys in advance... especially to the assholes that are going to suggest tweakheadz or "read your manual". I'm sure you guys figured everything out without any help whatsoever too, and are all legendary producers in your own right, even though you're super underground.
EDIT:
Ok, I figured out how to not have those demo programs and sequences autoload - der. Autoload off. Now my predicament, which is where a pro will probably have to help me:
My memory is still showing:
Wave Free: 56.0 MB Seq. free: 2.3 MB
I dont know that I understand the difference between Wave and Sequence memory. The 2.3 MB doesn't seem like a lot... can I free up more some how? Wave is on par with what my memory says it COMES with (64 MB) so that doesn't seem to be a problem. But I don't understand where the Sequence Cache comes from, and how or what fills it up (it hasn't really changed... and I've done a bunch of stuff). So far all I have loaded is one of the Akai drum kits that was preloaded on the ROM Flash.
Thanks guys...
